Fusion at ACEP 2017 - Fusion Healthcare Staffing

ACEP’s (American College of Emergency Physicians) 2017 conference was a huge success. The Emergency Medicine community flocked to Washington D.C. to participate in the world’s most prestigious conference in the industry. The lecture schedule incorporated seminars about the future of emergency medicine, presentations on current research, skill classes featuring new techniques, and more.

Fusion had a booth on the conference floor featuring a drawing for a new iPad. Our staff was on hand to spread the word about the thriving locum tenens community. David, one of our reps who attended, said of his experience, “it’s a great opportunity to get out and meet clients and physicians … it was very fun and a great learning experience to introduce Fusion to prospective physicians and introduce them to the world of locums.”

Other booths represented everything from new technologies to continuing education to agencies that support the world of medicine. On the tech side, some attention-grabbing products included telemedicine technology, such as apps and devices like cloud-based EEGs and personal ultrasound devices. Medical schools, first responders, and staffing agencies also made their presence known. David added, “I was impressed with the time and effort put into the booths and the ability to interact with various companies. The creativity was also pretty entertaining to see how companies attracted traffic to their booth such as a drawing for iPad Pros, and an espresso machine offering free beverages!”

The conference serves as an opportunity for individuals and groups to come together, exposing the industry as a whole to new ideas and technologies. For Fusion, it gave us the opportunity to build/strengthen relationships with members of the Emergency Medicine community.  “Any exposure is great exposure! Fusion has a great reputation and it is nice to be able to attend these events to interact with physicians and other vendors.” David concludes, “we were also able to host a few groups for dinner, and really solidify relationships with existing and potential clients which is invaluable!”
